Hampden state school currently runs a 3 year rolling camp program for students enrolled in Year 4, 5 and 6. Over the course of the three year period all students will have the opportunity to participate in 3 different camps. Our current planned 3 year plan is outlined below:

  • 2017 – Brisbane and South East Corner
  • 2018 – Kinchant Outdoor Education Centre
  • 2019 – North Keppel Island Environmental Centre

Camps and excursions are to be planned to supplement classroom activities.  Students who do not participate on excursions or camps must attend school as usual.  The school maintains the right to decide which students may participate in these activities, dependent on previous behaviour.

Students must wear school uniforms on excursions where appropriate.  Students must always be appropriately dressed, including footwear.  Thongs and bare feet are not acceptable.  Excursions are a privilege and therefore, if students do not respond appropriately, those students will be excluded from the activity.

Before excursions, trips and outings are undertaken; a signed statement from parents will be sought giving permission for all children to attend.   Medical information will also be required.
